Perry Accounting

Our story

The firm of Perry Accounting, located at beautiful Moonee Beach, was established in 2005 when Ron returned home to his place of birth, Coffs Harbour. The extensive experience that Ron gained from his practices in Newcastle, Sydney and Brisbane, combined with his entrepreneurial and hands-on approach to his clients’ business affairs ensures that all clients gain the benefit of this experience.

Ron Perry is a business accountant, Chartered Tax Adviser, Registered Tax Agent, a Fellow of the Institute of Public Accountants, a Fellow of the Tax Institute of Australia, and a Fellow of the Institute of Financial Accountants.

My story

Following his studies at the Newcastle Technical College and the Newcastle University Ron Perry worked at, and later acquired, the practice of P.C.Wyatt & Co where he gained experience relating to all aspects of old fashioned and ethical general Accounting and Taxation. In the course of his work Ron was also introduced to Company Auditing and gained a familiarity with the Newcastle Stock Exchange. Ron is proud to have been a foundation member and Director of the Hunter Orchestra and provided many years assistance with honorary audits for the Mission to Seamen, Hunter Orchestra Ltd and the Newcastle City Mission.

As his career progressed Ron’s clients included small to medium businesses, a variety of Registered Clubs, Registered Unions, Registered Charities and Public Companies. Ron expanded the practice to include branch offices in Parramatta and Brisbane. Eventually employing an extensive number of qualified accountants, bookkeeping, administrative and support staff his practice ultimately provided professional services for local, interstate, and overseas clients. This Newcastle practice was acquired by Mr John Ure and became Perry Ure Pty Ltd.

A favourite saying of Ron’s is “The Map ain’t the Territory”, meaning that life can often take unexpected turns. At such times, wise advice based on experience and knowledge can be invaluable.
